The property is comprised of a spacious guest house together with a detached annex offering ground floor accommodation suitable for guests with limited mobility. Enjoy a restful night's sleep in a comfortable bed, followed by a scrumptious Welsh breakfast. Glyn and June aim to make your stay relaxing, enjoyable and memorable.
Rooms are light and airy and those in the main house have views of the surrounding countryside. In addition to the bedrooms, guests staying in the house have access to a first floor lounge and also to a sun lounge below, leading to the attractive rear garden and patio area. The annex has a front door leading to a parking area and a rear door leading to the garden. Safe off-road parking is available and the guest house is strictly non-smoking.
Bryn-y-Ddafad is a privately-run guest house, graded 4-star by Visit Wales. Your hosts June & Glyn Jenkins have been welcoming guests into their home since 1998, and many guests return again and again.

We take pride in the comfort our beds offer. We assure guests with allergy problems that all pillows and duvets etc are synthetic (not feather or down). Each bedroom is generously supplied with quality towels and toiletries. Fans are available on request. Please see individual room details for a complete list of facilities on offer.
All bathrooms and shower rooms are fully tiled. The showers are cubicles and the baths (with fixed showers overhead) have fitted shower screens. A laundry service is available at a reasonable cost. An iron and ironing board are available on request.

Breakfast is served between 07:30 and 09:30, and is inclusive in the tariff charged. In addition to the traditional English breakfast, the Welsh version includes laverbread (a traditional speciality) on request.
Cooked Vegetarian breakfasts are available, the bacon and sausages are substituted with 'Glamorgan sausages' a local speciality. These are homemade using leeks, breadcrumbs, cheese, eggs and fresh herbs.
Continental breakfasts are available, including a selection of fresh fruits according to season. Guests requiring gluten and dairy-free options can be catered for.
By Car
From the M4:
- Exit at junction 33 and take the A4232.
- Exit at Culverhouse Cross roundabout and take the 4th exit (the A48 signed to Cowbridge).
- After passing the Aubrey Arms on the left, take the second turning right, signed to Welsh St. Donats.
- Follow the brown signs to Bryn-y-Ddafad from the crossroads at Welsh St. Donats village.
If you are using satellite navigation to find us then enter the postcode of Welsh St. Donats village, CF71 7SS and follow the brown signage to Bryn-y-Ddafad from the crossroads.
We recommend that guests have their own transport as the nearest regular public transport is from Cowbridge, which is 3 miles away. We can recommend a reliable local taxi service.
