The village of Alton is situated in the heart of the Staffordshire countryside, close to the town of Uttoxeter. The village is located on the eastern side of the Churnet Valley and contains numerous buildings of arcitectural interest. The Round-House, Alton Castle (now a Catholic youth retreat centre), St Peters Church, The Malt House, St Johns Church and of course Alton Mansion.The magnificent and world famous Alton Towers theme park is located close to Alton. Scenic gardens and a stunning Mansion are the perfect setting for the numerous rides and attractions that are on offer. Hotels and restaurants complement the facilities in the park.
