All new for 2005 Slater's Hotel adjoins the Inn and provides fifteen exceptionally well appointed rooms all en suite. Superior rooms all have draped king sized double beds. Deluxe rooms are either twin or double and there is also a family room consisting of a double plus a twin bedded room and shared bathroom. All rooms have T.V., Trouser Press/Ironing facilities, Hairdryer and Tea/Coffee making facilities. In addition to the hotel accomodation there are two self catering cottages both with Double Bedroom and Lounge/Kitchen area with Sofa Bed.

The town sits west of neighbouring city Stoke-on-Trent and north of Stafford. The town grew up around a castle which was built in the 12th century, and was named Newcastle-under-Lyme due to it's former proximity to the former Lyme forest.
