This tranquil little village is easily overlooked by the tourist but has a surprising wealth of features to recommend itself. Canoeing and sailing are favourite past times on the sheltered loch and the Scouting Organisation has a residential outdoor centre in the village. Nestling among the trees on the western shore of the loch is found a holiday village comprising leisure centre (with swimming pool and ice rink), restaurant, golf course and chalet accommodation. Lochgoilhead's ancient church is also well worth visiting.
