A traditional 17th Century Inn set in the beautiful Berkshire countryside and approached through quiet lanes and past cottages draped in honeysuckle. The Inn’s ancient and unique charm can best be glimpsed in the bar area, the oldest part, which boasts a huge inglenook fireplace and criss-crossed beams and provides a fine selection of local and guest real ales, malt whiskies and good wines. The Crown and Garter offers a delicious and interesting variety of dishes, all freshly prepared on the premises by our resident Chef using local produce. These can be enjoyed in either the non smoking restaurant area, bar or outside in our enclosed beer garden under ancient English oak.
