Westbourne House dates back to 1840. The architecture is typical of its period, influenced, as the Victorian's were, by the romantic Italian-style villa. This splendid 19th Century home which enjoys a central location overlooking the bowling green and country side and is 3 minutes walk from the river Dart. Awarded the English Tourism Council five star rating with a silver award. Many original features have been retained and others carefully restored so that the house retains the elegance of an earlier period. Throughout, the furnishings and immaculate decor evokes a warm, friendly and relaxed ambience.
