Oaklands is situated at the East Coast of Scotland in between Dundee and Aberdeen in the magnificent Angus region. The guest house is a short walk away from the Town Centre of Montrose, and has an off-street parking available for our guests. Every room has colour TV with remote control, wash hand basin, shower, toilet, hairdryer, showergel, shampoo, handsoap, towels, coffee and tea, sweets, cookies, radio/alarmclock and a tourist information map.

Montrose is a bustling coastal town with much to offer. It boasts a wide and pleasant main street, and is located near the striking basin and is rich in wildlife, and is a Nature Reserve and Wildlife Centre. The town lies on a bank of sandy land a mile wide that extends south across the side of the Montrose Basin, almost cutting this large tidal nature reserve off from the North Sea. It is a dramatic and compelling location. Montrose is a seaside town with an excellent blue flag beach. It has a camping and caravan site, golf courses, including the fifth oldest golf course in the world, and a range of attractions such as the Traill Pavilion.
