A unique picturesque 18th century inn situated close to Rutland Water, only 1 mile from the county town of Oakham. The Old Plough is within easy reach of Nottingham, Peterborough and Leicester, as well as the A1 and M1 motorway. Recently taken over by the Grainstore Brewery, The Old Plough has undergone extensive refurbishment to its en-suite rooms, resulting in us obtaining the aa Red Diamond Award. Whether you visit us for our speciality 'Cuisine a la Biere' menu in the conservatory, a bar snack from the specials board in the bar, or a relaxing afternoon in our garden with a barbecue, you are assured of a very warm welcome. The Kings Arms lies in the peaceful and quaint village of Wing. This family run, AA 4 Star Inn is ideally situated for visiting the surrounding market towns of Oakham, Uppingham and Stamford. Rutland water is only two miles away and offers a variety of outdoor pursuits to include walking, bird watching, fishing and golf. Other local attractions include Burghley House, Barnsdale Gardens, Rockingham Speedway and the historic Wing Maze. The Kings Arms has eight en-suite letting bedrooms set away from the public house allowing the freedom and privacy to come and go as you please. Our renowned restaurant boasts an AA Rosette and we serve 3 real ales and 20+ wines by the glass. The large off street car park takes small trailers & motorised vans. Our Bar & Restaurant are closed Sunday evenings and Monday Lunch all year round and Monday evenings in Winter. Breakfast is served from 0800 - 0900 Tue - Fri and 0830 to 0930 Sat- Mon. If you arrive outside of normal opening hours, pleas see the self check in notice at the front door to the pub. |

Our bed and breakfast accommodation consists of only one bedroom, situated in our cottage annexe, and it has a kingsize bed with views overlooking the garden and the thatched cottage next door. Our cottage is situated in a small, picturesque village in a rural location not far from Oakham, Rutland. We are in a secluded spot reached via a private lane and have ample parking. A guest comment - "Absolutely wonderful. Peaceful setting, beautiful village and superb accommodation, best sleep we've ever had away from home. Will definitely return if possible.
