Behind an impressive facade added in 1857, this historic coaching inn dates back to the 16th century. Our hotel has long been Hereford's most popular hostelry offering a warm welcome and informal atmosphere. The hotel is just along the street from the cathedral and Mappa Mundi Exhibition. Our 83 rooms are non-smoking, and are all with en-suite facilities, hair dryer, tea and coffee making facilities and early morning calls available as well as newspaper delivery. Our rooms are scattered over three upper floors and have all the high ceilings, thick walls, and squeaky floors. Enjoy a romantic meal in Shire's Restaurant and maybe a glass or two of wine to compliment it. The Green Dragon is an ideal location for your meeting or conference. All meeting rooms come fully equipped and essential services and equipment including ohp screens, videos and monitors can be hired from the hotel. |

Shenmore Cottage sits nestled in the beautiful Golden Valley between Hereford & Hay-on-Wye.The original part of the cottage dates back to 1860 when it was the home of the local Wheelwright.Later additions extended the cottage. We moved here in 1997 and started on what was to be a long programme of renovation and extension work. Through out we have tried to keep the original character of the cottage intact and have in fact added many period features ourselves. Both of our guestrooms have beautiful views over the Herefordshire countryside. Each has comfortable beds, ensuite facilities, remote controlled coloured television and tea & coffee making facilities. |
