Compton House is situated in the charming historic market town of Ashborne, with the magnificent St. Oswalds Church dating from the 14th century, and it's fine Georgian architecture. We are a family run guest house with accent on good food and accommodation with a warm friendly atmosphere. Originally our home was three terraced cottages, which have been converted into one, rather individual house and has been our home since 1986. There are five bedrooms, all en-suite, with colour televisions, radio, hairdryer and direct dial telephones, plus a well stocked tea and coffee tray. All rooms have double beds, and the two larger rooms also have a single bed, so can be used as twin or family rooms. Two rooms can be let as single rooms if required. One of the double rooms is on the ground floor overlooking the garden. |

Our home since 1989, this former Victorian coach house, built about 1875, is set into a hillside amongst mature trees and is situated in a quiet location just five minutes walk from Ashbourne town centre. An unusual 'upside-down' layout has been preserved with the guest rooms being conveniently situated on the ground floor of the house. Our hospitality is warm and friendly, so whatever your reason for visiting Derbyshire or whatever the time of year, we are sure that your stay with us will be a happy and memorable one. Omnia Somnia has for many years achieved the highest grade of five diamonds in both the English Tourism Council and the Automobile Association inspection schemes. |
