Many of the country’s finest golf courses are within an hour’s drive, and driving ranges and pitch and putt are close by. Paignton and Torquay are popular for water-sports, and throughout the year there are several events, including surfing competitions, sailing, diving, wind-surfing, water-skiing opportunities and exhibitions. There are tennis courts and bowling greens, and fishing is also very popular in Paignton. Torbay is known as The English Riviera, which boasts a diversity of atmosphere, entertainment and amenities for all ages, surrounded by scenic countryside.
