This is a really good place to stay. We arrived on a Friday afternoon and left on a Sunday morning and this hotel is perfect if you are a family planning to take the children to the Pleasure Beach. What makes this hotel stand out is the level of service which is good but the people running it are incredibly kind- we came in, wet, cold and hungry at 10pm on a Saturday night having spent the evening at the Tower Circus- and the man who does the cooking made myself and children fresh pizza which was very good and most welcome. It has a nice bar, which had some really nice people as guests. Breakfast - good breakfast, lovley coffee, loads of toast and a good cooked option as well as the usual cereals. We were made most welcome, the people who run it are great with children and accomodate all reasonable requests and the people who run it are good people- we would stay here again. Many thanks to the staff at the Roker-the accomodation is fine - basic but comfortable and think some of the earlier critiscisms rather unkind and certainly not applicable in our stay- I think the staff are working hard to make continuous improvements. I would give our stay 9 out of ten.
