With its patio terrace, the Metz is an informal setting in which to enjoy a drink or some food. Metz is open from 18:00 to 23:00 weekends and offers a bar service and a snack menu from 19:00 to 21:00. From Monday to Friday, dinner is available in the hotel’s table d'hôte restaurant in the manor house.
Breakfast is served in the manor house and is available from 07:00 to 09:00, Monday to Friday, and from 08:00 to 10:00 on Saturdays and Sundays.
There will be no evening meals available on the 3rd, 9th, 10th, 16th and 17th December 2011.
Please note that due to private functions, dinner may be served in an alternative restaurant; please contact the property directly for further details.

we stayed at the hotel from Friday til Monday. On both Fri and Sat night there was a wedding taking place which meant that there was no dinner available for anybody else staying. However that didn't really matter when on Sunday we looked at the menu. If the hotel can cater for a wedding then why can it not cater properly for other guests, pizza and basic dishes are not that appetising when away from home. how about even some local meals or even comfort food."

It took a while to find a waiter to be seated at breakfast even though (or perhaps because) the hotel seemed quiet.,"I was only there for one night so my review has limited reliability. I have already made my main points above. I have ticked I would recommend this hotel below but the reality is more complicated. It was perfectly adequate and the staff were friendly but I was left with the distinct feeling that the hotel as a whole could have done better for the price charged. So if someone asked Is this an OK place to stay?, I would say Yes; but if they said is it the best place in Grimsby in this price range?, I would say: Probably not."

Also I was surprised that some rooms were still registered as smoking rooms.
