The Gables Guest House is less than 750 metres from the town centre and its banks, shops and cinema. The railway and bus station are also within easy reach. Slightly further afield, the Eden Project is only a 10-minute drive from the guest house and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are only 7 minutes away. Some of Cornwall's most beautiful beaches are also within easy reach, including Porthpean, Charlestown, Carlyon Bay, Gorran, Meavagissey and Portmellon. Parts of the building are believed to date back to the mid-19th century, including the attractive solid stone walls.
