The directions to the hotel were helpful and it was easy to find: I thought the price of the overnight stay was high for the standard of hotel - e.g. cf with Premier Lodges or the Britannia Hotel at Standish. The breakfast was good but on the small side for an English cooked breakfast and no choice was given about what we wanted - basic 2 sausages, 1 slice of bacon, 1 egg and a few baked beans. The room was comfortable, particularly the beds. The TV reception was poor. I will stress again that the welcome we had was lovely and we appreciated this as we stayed overnight before a funeral."
