Cleavers Lyng is a four star Highly commended, grade II listed 16th Century Country House of considerable charm and character, an ideal base for exploring 1066 country , with plenty of footpaths and bridleways from our door, the 1066 country walk with its 36 miles of track are just a 5 min walk from here. We are off the beaten track, on a quite and secluded country lane, set within 1.5 acres of beautiful landscaped gardens ablaze with colour during the Spring and Summer months with uninterrupted panoramic views over the Pevensey levels towards the South Downs. Each of our rooms is individually furnished to a very high standard with remote control television, alarm, radio,ironing board, hairdryer and complementary tea/coffee, mineral water and nibbles. Free WIFI. Our upstairs or downstairs lounge area with comfortable seating and games is available for sole use of guests. Our balcony room has outside seating and panoramic views. Superb breakfast with large choice catering for all tastes. The entire house is strictly non smoking. For those wishing to unwind away from the urban clamour look no further then Cleavers Lyng. The nearby village of Herstmonceux has an award wining French restaurant, a bistro, 2 pubs and an Indian restaurant. East Sussex is an area of outstanding natural beauty and we have very many attractions on our doorstep far to many to mention here. We have several nearby beaches and we are surrounded by hundreds of acres for those who like to take a walk. Or for those that like a more cosmopolitain atmosphere the victorain resort of Eastbourne is just a short drive where you can find a number of eating establishments, quaint Theatres and numerous shops.
