Jason and Alison welcome you to Ravensworth House, situated in the heart of Keswick, for the continued levels of comfort, service, cleanliness and attention to detail that you would expect from our Four Star Silver Award rating. We also have a breakfast award for quality. Our accommodation is tastefully furnished to a high standard, equipped with modern flat screen television, most with DVD player, hairdryer, umbrella, mints, quality Gilchrist and Soames toiletries and quality hospitality tray. Fell views are experienced from most rooms. We have nine bedrooms, all en-suite, ranging from a Four Poster Suite with spa bath on the first floor (Derwentwater), 2 king sized sleigh bedded rooms with spa baths on the top floor (Walla Crag and Lords Seat), 2 king sized or twin bedded rooms with bath and shower (Buttermere) on the first floor and shower (Friars Crag) on the second floor and 3 standard doubles all with showers on floors 1 (Hawes End) and 2 (Catbells and Latrigg) . We also have a ground floor king sized or twin bedded with shower (Skiddaw) for those who find stairs a problem. We are extremely passionate about the food that we purchase and serve. All meat is supplied by local suppliers and is locally reared. We purchase our sausages from Lakes Speciality Foods, owned and operated by Paul Hevey and Dan Weston. Pauls background is in butchery and Dans in farming. Together they have established a network of local farmers who supply some of the best meats you could wish for. Our Cumbrian Dry Cured bacon is supplied from Thomasons Butchery, Station Street, Keswick. Cut thicker than usual, our guests appreciate it so much, they have been known to take some home with them. Brothers Bomber and Malcolm and their team are real 'food heroes' and a visit to them is a must. Our free range eggs are supplied by Thomas and Sheila Wilson at Scales Farm in Embleton, Keswick and our milk is delivered directly to us from the Clark family at Braithwaite Farm in Keswick.
