Aphrodites Lodge was built at the turn of the century by a renowned local builder for a wealthy local Lake District businessman, the 2 acres of gardens were expertly laid out by a famous landscape gardener and are even more beautiful today especially around March when the array of Rhododendrons come into full bloom. The property was converted a number of years ago to a luxury themed lodge providing bed & breakfast with larger than average rooms, some mini suites and some large suites. All the rooms have luxury bathrooms with power shower and large aqua massage spa tubs either in the bathrooms or open plan to the room where clients can watch their favourite soap from their baths.
