A traditional English breakfast sourced locally is served and our buffet table has a wide selection of fruits, cereals and yogurts. The lounge with colour television is at the disposal of guests at all times. TheThornhill is beautifully situated on the seafront with no hills to climb. Just walk across the promenade to the sandy beach and the sea.A short level walk to the shops and restaurants, coach park and train station. Home from Home to come and go just as you wish.

Have stayed many times before and always been pleased so was a little aprehensive to hear that The Thornhill had been sold but the new owners Nicky and Brian are great. Nothing was too much trouble, made to feel really welcome and Brian's breakfasts are terrific, just cant wait to sample his evening meals! Looking forward to returning as soon as we can and would highly recommend this wonderful place to anyone.

Decided to take a short break in Teignmouth and chose this hotel from one or two other options on local website. Thornhill proved to be a great choice - our hosts, Brian and Nicky, so welcoming - relaxing atmosphere - wonderful breakfasts - ideal location. Would certainly stay there again and recommend to all.

We stayed for the first time in Teignmouth for one night at the Thornhill Hotel on 15 June 2011.We were greeted by the new owners, who made us very welcome and told us about some of the local amenities, which we found useful.Our twin bedded room was, quiet, light and well furnished, with very comfortable beds and a side sea view.The residents lounge, bar and dining room were comfortable with ample space for guests. The set dinner of pan seared scallops, beef wellington and chocolate mousse was delicious and of high quality as was the freshly cooked to order bacon and eggs next morning! A little gem at very good value for money, which we thoroughly recommend.

I'm a regular visitor and have just returned from my second visit this year. Nicky and Brian are so friendly and welcoming. Rooms are spotlessly clean and the Thornhill breakfast is always amazing. This time I chose to eat in every night - and what a delight. Home made fayre all cooked fresh with an aray of the choicest fresh local produce. If you like good food then this is a must. I am so looking forward to my next visit. Congratulations Nicky and Brian.
