The Fairfield is one of Lakeland's original country houses built over 200 years ago and now provides both serviced and self-catering accommodation. Tony and Liz Blaney offer their guests a high standard of personal service with genuine hospitality in a homely atmosphere. The half acre of secluded garden gives a perfect sense of peace and tranquillity and in the early summer boasts the beautiful scent and colour of camellia, azalea, rhododendron, and a magnificent wisteria that is as old as the house itself. The original part of the house was built over 200 years ago, and in the early part of the 20th century, it was owned by Annie Garnet, the famous water colourist.
