Cragwood Country House Hotel is situated idyllically in the heart of English Lakeland. The Hotel is set in 20 acres of secluded gardens and woodland, and affords an unrivalled panorama of magnificent scenery. The Old Man of Coniston, Scafell, Fairfield and the Langdale Pikes form a dramatic backdrop to Lake Windermere. The Hotel is open all year including Christmas and New Year and has been awarded four crowns 'Highly Commended' by the English Tourist Board. Cragwood House was originally designed by Frank Dunkley and built in 1910 for the industrialist Albert Warburton. The House was featured in the August edition of Country Life, 1912.
