Records show that the building (originally two) was open as an Inn in 1773. Since that time it has been used as a court room and the meeting-place for local clubs and societies. Today the Blackbird is still very much a land mark on the now busy A38 and offers an ideal eating spot for the passing motorist and local resident alike. The Pubs menu has been extendeded to include a variety of competitively priced dishes...steaks and grills plus a vegetarian section. We have 6 luxury en-suite rooms each with tea/coffee making facilities and a television. |
