You will be inspired by the majesty of the Palace, with its carvings by Grinling Gibbons, delighted by the interior filled with treasures and intrigued by the apartments devoted to Sir Winston Churchill. Blenheim Palace was built for the National Hero John 1st Duke of Marlborough and his Duchess Sarah, given by Queen Anne as a gift in reward for his military services. The palace was built between 1705 and 1722. The Park and Gardens at Blenheim provide a majestic formal setting for the Palace.

d'Overbroeck's Sixth Form - University

d'Overbroeck's Sixth Form - University

Distance 5.98 miles (9.57 km)
Based in North Oxford, d'Overbroeck's Sixth Form has over 240 students.
Our approach is based on the premise that sixth form should be different from what's gone before. Challenging - exciting - dynamic. As an A level student, you'll be discussing, exploring and analysing ideas in depth, enthused by energetic teachers and small, energetic classes.

Our aim, through these pages, is to introduce you to student life at d'Overbroeck's, as well as to give you detailed information about the teaching and support we provide - alongside a broad range of extra-curricular options.

Each year we have over 240 students in the two years of the Sixth Form. About 30 of these join the Sixth Form from our own Year 11 or our International Study Centre, but the vast majority join us from other schools following their GCSEs.
