Ruddington Grange Golf Club - Ruddington - Golf

Ruddington Grange Golf Club - Ruddington - Golf

Distance 0.27 miles (0.43 km)
Ruddington Grange is ideally located for corporate events; situated as it is close to motorway, rail and air links to the UK and abroad. It combines convenient travel and ample parking with pleasant surroundings and the ability to offer good levels of security particularly for private meetings. Ruddington Grange, the first of a new crop of Nottinghamshire golf clubs is an attractive parkland type layout. Although quite open there is danger lurking in the way of cleverly positioned water hazards which come into play on eight holes. At just over 6,500 yards the course is not "long" by current standards and can be enjoyed by every standard of golfer.

Nottingham Forest Football Club - Football Club

Nottingham Forest Football Club - Football Club

Distance 2.23 miles (3.57 km)
The ground from a distance looks quite picturesque sitting on the banks of the River Trent. Both ends have been re-developed during the 1990's, much improving the overall appearance. At one end, the Bridgford Stand houses away fans in the lower tier; it is odd because one third of this stand was built lower then the rest, due to a local Council planning requirement to allow sunlight through to the houses in nearby Colwick Road. Opposite, the Trent End, is the most recent addition to the ground. It is a large two tiered stand that looks quite smart. One unusual feature of the stand, is that running across the middle are a number of rows of seating enclosed within a covered shaded glass area.

Distance 2.39 miles (3.82 km)
Notts County Football Club are a football club based in Nottingham, England. In 2005-06 the club will play in League Two of The Football League. Nicknamed The Magpies, the club is one of two professional football clubs in Nottingham, the other being their old enemies Nottingham Forest. The Magpies play their home games at the Meadow Lane stadium and play in a black and white striped kit, which was the inspiration for Juventus's strip of the same design. Though they have not won a great deal of major silverware in their history, County are considered to be one of the most famous 'little' clubs in English football.

Nottingham station is the principal railway station in the city of Nottingham and the Greater Nottingham area. It is served mainly by Midland Mainline and Central Trains. There are current plans to redevelop the entire station with more shops and the Nottingham Express Transit trams running over the top of the station. [1] The station was built in 1904 and was previously known as Nottingham Midland station and is the only surving principal station in the city after the closure of Nottingham Victoria in 1967 due to the Beeching Axe (the site is now the Victoria shopping centre). The station has 6 platforms, each platform halved into A and B to fit more trains. 12,000 people pass through the station every day. Station Street tram station is located a short walk from the station concourse.
