Established since 1897 it is a challenging and scenic 18 hole course with some of the finest views in Lancashire. Excellent restaurant and bar with all the clubhouse facilities you would expect from a private club make this a popular venue for visitors and societies small or large. Although Chorley Golf Club is a club run for the members, we welcome Societies and visitors alike and like to hear what they think of our course and facilities. We are proud to be members of Chorley Golf Club and are pleased when others have an enjoyable day.

Voted Lancashire's "Family Attraction of the Year 2002" by the Good Britain Guide. An amusement park with nerve shattering ides for adults and children alike. The park is divided into five "magical lands" including 'Squire Bumpkin's Friendly Farm' and 'Knights Valley'. You can run the 'Gauntlet' rollercoaster or take the 'Pendragon's Plunge'. For younger children there's the huge soft playground and a little animal kingdom. The Jousting area is where King Arthur could choose you to star in a jousting tournament, and there are 'Dungeons of Doom' to inspect in King Arthur's Castle with daily shows including juggling and the like. Situated in a beautiful rural location at Charnock Richard, Chorley, Lancashire between Preston and Wigan.

Wigan Golf Club - Wigan - Golf

Distance 3.42 miles (5.47 km)
This 18 hole park land course threads its way through magnificent mature trees and provides a challenge that is mastered by few. Originally constructed as a nine hole course in 1898 and later extended to eighteen holes Wigan Golf Course is a very pleasant parkland course which offers a good test of golf on fairly level terrain. The extended course was designed by Gaunt & Marnock and incorporates modern specification greens which provided excellent playing surfaces throughout the year. Whilst not extremely long by modern standards the 6008 yards have stood the test of time with the course record still a very respectable 67 against a par of 70.
