Dumfries and Galloway Golf Club is a welcoming club with a very good range of facilities. A full catering service and a superb dining room allows visitors to enjoy a hearty meal after, hopefully, an enjoyable round of golf. A well stocked bar with low prices ensures a convivial end to the day. The course is maintained in excellent condition and is a very good test of golf where good shots are rewarded. The greens are of a very high standard and putt well in all weathers due to the excellent work carried out by our dedicated greenstaff. Dumfries and Galloway Golf Course is a championship parkland course measuring 6309 yards and par 70 from the medal tees. The Standard Scratch Score (SSS) is 71.

The county town of Dumfries is a prosperous royal burgh on the banks of the Nith, crossed by a five arch bridge named Devorgilla's bridge where you can see the Old Bridge House Museum. Downstream is the Caul, an 18th century weir where you can watch salmon leap. The handsome and prosperous market town of Dumfries is centred around the Mid Steeple, the municipal building dating back to 1707 which has the old Scottish measure of 37 inches carved on its front. The table of distances also on the building includes the distance to Huntingdon to where cattle drivers made long journeys in the 18th century.
