Ashridge Golf Club - Berkhamsted - Golf

Distance 4.92 miles (7.88 km)
The Club was officially opened in 1932 and has regularly featured in the top 100 golf courses in the UK. We are very pleased to announce that starting in 2003 and for a period of six years, Ashridge will host an Open Championship Regional Qualifying Competition. We are naturally delighted to have been selected by the R & A as a qualifying course and of having the privilege of being associated with the Championship. Ashridge first came to prominence, however, in the late 1930s following the appointment of Henry Cotton as resident Club Professional. Sir Henry Cotton as he was to become, was arguably the best golfer of his era, winning three Open Championships including the Open at Carnoustie in 1937 whilst he was at Ashridge.

Chartridge Park is a family run golf club renowned for its friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Established in 1990 as a nine hole course it is now an eighteen hole course designed by John Jacobs with many testing and interesting holes over water, trees and sand. Set in a quiet, peaceful location, the club affords wonderful views of the Pednor valley. We have a practice area with nets, and a putting green and provide buggies and trollies for hire. Our purpose built modern style clubhouse has two levels. The upper level incorporates a veranda for spectacular views over the course and full function and conferencing facilities, the ideal venue on a warm summer evening for up to 120 people.
