Excellent Stay
We had a fantastic stay at Hatfield House Hotel. The owners were amazingly friendly and accommodating. The room was spotless, had everything you'd expect for a short break and bigger than expected, a very pleasant surprise. The addition of a sitting room is a stroke of genius and really gives the room character.

Breakfast was very nice and I can't recommend the local sausage enough!

A brilliant location, just off the front so it's not too busy / noisy but close enough to wander down without too much hassle.

I can't thank Lynn and Simon enough for making our stay a special one, and was nice to have a good chat to Simon on checkout about the local area and places to go, and get an insight into his world - such a friendly chap!

Good Value For Money.
We went for a mid week break to delightful Llandudno and stayed at Hatfield House. We had a very friendly welcome, our room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. There was an excellent breakfast every morning which set us up for the day. The on site parking was a blessing as the town gets pretty full. It was also an easy walk to all the towns facilities. Many thanks to Lynn and Simon for their hard work.

Nice Stay
A warm welcome from simon on a arrival very helpful with any questions, breakfast was good if a little on the late side (8.30-9-00), my room was clean and tidy en-suite with plenty of tea and coffee, it was about 8 mins walk to the front, there was always plenty of parking on the road which was very quiet at all times.

Response from Hotel
Thankyou for your review, breakfast time is always a awkward one, we asked all Guests who stopped with us and those times were the most popular, we will serve early if tou have any special needs. We are a Guesthouse with just the 2 of us, so we also have to cater for the Guests who wish to checkout early. We do like to offer a full compliments of Teas, Coffees etc.

The Perfect Choice
After looking at many websites and reading numerous reviews we decided to book 6 nights at Hatfield House. We were not disappointed! Simon and Lynn are a lovely, friendly couple and if there is a magic formula for getting things exactly right when running a B&B, then they have found it. We booked the Superior Double Room and it was immaculate, spacious, included a nice shower with plenty of hot water, good hospitality tray [even the complimentary biscuits were replaced daily] Breakfast was between 8:30 and 9:00 and although this is a short period it worked perfectly. Guests help themselves from a selection of juice/cereal/Yoghurt/ tinned fruit, and then a lovely cooked breakfast is served very promptly, plus toast. The breakfast room is a lovely room with a cheerful yellow decor and once again immaculately clean. I rarely enjoy the tea in B&b's but even the pot of tea was not only nice & hot but enjoyable. Parking was never a problem and the sea, main shops, restaurants etc were all a short walk away. Hatfield House also has the bonus of being in LLandudno which is a plus, as after visiting the nearby resorts, Llandudno is by far the best one and made a great base for trips to Betws y Coed, Mt Snowdon, the impressive pier etc. Overall Hatfield House is a great choice, exceptionally clean, good food, friendly, welcoming owners, good location, and our room was great, incl: clock radio, DVD player and CD player! A balanced review should include any negatives, but I genuinely cannot think of any.

We stayed at Hatfield House 10 days during June 2012. We had an enjoyable stay and would stay again. The location was great and was able to leave the car here and enjoyed walking to the town centre and the Orme.

Thankyou for your review, we picked our location very carefully so our guests could be close enough to town but without the noise factor. We like to offer a healthy and generous breakfast using local butchers etc

An Excellent Stay
We had a great stay at Hatfield House over this last long weekend. The room was very well furnished and we got a bath to have a soak in after our trips over to nearby Anglesey. The breakfasts were extensive and we enjoyed the choice and flexibility of what was offered. We really liked the tasty bacon and sausages served in a quick and efficient manner along with all the regular items like toast and choice of beverages. Thank you and well done to the proprietors- we will certainly be booking in again next time we are Llandudno bound. Highly recommended!

Thankyou for your review, there is an old saying ' fail to prepare then prepare to fail ' with that in mind and flexibility towards your guests you should have no excuse but to give your guests a great stay.

Weekend Stay
We arrived at Hatfield House, Friendliness was everywhere. Helped with my parking. Lovely bedroom, great food, everywhere was immaculately clean. Got on with the other guests too. Felt like a big happy family.

Hotel Review
There was a frosty atmosphere, particuarly in the dining room. Breakfast was a disappointment with tasteless scrambled eggs and ungracious service. Parking was a problem because of limited space. We would not choose to stay at this establishment again

Response from Hotel
Many thanks for your review. Well you cannot please everybody all the time!!. We had a full house both days these people were here, so the only frosty atmosphere was probably between themselves. Our car park will take 7 cars, ( they were the 2nd on the car park )!!! but you have the choice to park on the road if you so desire.

Feedback
Having just returned from a long weekend stay in room two.We found the room spacious, clean and stocked with all you could need. The only thing that i would say was a negative was that it could do with a coat of paint as colour scheme was very dated. The choice of an evening meal was a good option for those who required it, and you could also select an alternative if you did'nt like what was on offer. The propriotors were very welcoming, approchable and nothing seemed to much trouble. On the whole a very enjoyable stay.

Hi, many thanks for your review, glad you enjoyed yourselves, pity you thought our cream walls were dated. I find i can change the colour scheme more often, then the wallpaper. Why not visit our virtual tour at www.hatfieldhouseguesthouse.co.uk rooms page.

Plas Mawr Elizabethan Town House - Museum

Plas Mawr Elizabethan Town House - Museum

Distance 2.78 miles (4.45 km)
At the heart of Medieval Conwy stands Plas Mawr, the "Great Hall", built between 1576 and 1585 for the Welsh merchant, Robert Wynn. This richly decorated building is an architectural gem, possibly the best preserved Elizabethan townhouse in Great Britain. It dominates the town of Conwy with its gatehouse, stepped gables and lookout tower. This "worthy plentiful house" is especially noted for the quality and quantity of its ornamental plasterwork, now fully restored to its original splendour. Plas Mawr's authentic period atmosphere is further enhanced by furnishings, many original to the house, based on an inventory of the contents in 1665.The interior with its elaborately decorated plaster ceilings and fine wooden screens, reflects the wealth and influence of the Tudor gentry in Wales.
