Warm Welcome During The Snow Storm
We stayed at Aberdour Guesthouse during the recent snow storm. We travelled with our puppy and we could not have had a better or warmer welcome, despite all the problems the weather created. We had a huge room just for the two of us and our dog, which was great. The guesthouse is a 5 minute walk to the town centre and very very close to the train station. Breakfast was also excellent. Very good, welcoming place to stay, especially if you have a furry friend with you.

Robert Burns Week
The hotel was warm and inviting , a home from home. Lovely room and bed could not find fault with anything. We only had to ask if we needed extras. Lovely breakfast with lots of tea. Amanda was lovely and gave us a lift to the station which is only a minute away because it was raining.. this was our second visit and won't be our last.

Average Guesthouse, Short To Town Centre, Pet Friendly
Average Guesthouse, may have seen it's glory in past days. Staff was friendly and breakfast was good. The hotel is pet friendly, good for travellers with dogs. For my taste: the floor to my room smelled ugly (similar like cat loo). My room itself didn't smell and was comfortable. Town centre is not far away for having dinner in the evening.

One Night Stop In Dumfries
Friendly enough, the room was clean and it was just a quick one night stop. They had trouble locating keys for my room and the sink leaked but all really mior things. The joint bathroom is never a great thing but all in all everything was okay. I would stay again on my way up north as it was very cheap. You get what you pay for when all said and done.

Not Too Bad
The b&b is very basic, shared toilts, they claim that there is a free breackfast from 7 to 9 am but I went down at 7:30 and no body was there till 8 am when I went up again.

Couldn't sleep or have rest in my room as my neighbours in the next door were making a very loud noise and I think that the hotel manager should have a word with them rather than expecting one of the guests does

Happy With My Stay
The hotel contacted me after my online booking to confirm and get my estimated time of arrival which was helpful to both parties. Ample parking was available on arrival. The staff were pleasant and showed me to my room. My room was comfortable and had all the amenities as advertised. I was given main door key to come and go as i pleased. I was attending a birthday celebration at the hotel and it was a good night. The staff were pleasant and helpful throughout. All-in-all, happy with my stay, would recommend and come back again.

Comfortable Stay
I enjoyed staying in this comfortable, spacious room with adjoining ensuite. One criticism was the location of a picture - opposite to the right of the toilet. A male might reasonably sturdy himself when urinating. When I used the wall for support the picture fell down causing accidental damage. I thought the breakfast was adequate, despite the overcooked mushrooms. However overall I was more than pleased with the experience of this hotel. I would not hestitate to visit here again.

Enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Found staff very friendly and room very clean and comfortable. Friendly And Relaxing
Friendly staff, pleasant and relaxed surroundings. Excellent breakfast with wide choice offered. Especially important to us was the fact the hotel was pet-friendly as we had an elderly cat with us.

I would personally have liked the room to be a little warmer but as I visited during a cold spell and I suffer with a medical condition that makes me feel the cold more than most I wouldn't necessarily 'blame' the hotel for this.

The hotel has free parking, is situated in a reasonably quiet location and is within a few minutes walk from the town centre making it ideal for our needs.

We had an enjoyable stay.

Very comfortable hotel. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. They were flexible and made me feel very welcome. I only ate breakfast at the hotel and it was good. If I had to make a criticism, it would be that the television in my room was on a high shelf which meant that the picture was not visible when lying back on the bed - but that was a very small issue.
