WELCOME TO TEIGNMOUTH GOLF CLUB, DEVON. Thank you for your interest in our Golf Club. Dating back to 1924 and designed by Dr Alister Mackenzie, the architect of the Augusta National Golf Course in Georgia U.S.A. on which the renowned annual U.S. Masters Golf Championship is played. Teignmouth Golf Club is a Limited Company with a Board of Directors and operates as a private members golf club. Visitors are welcome all year round and are required to pay green fees on entry. Set out on the high plateau of Little Haldon, over 800 feet above sea level, the course is unique in its situation, with breathtaking and extensive views. From the outgoing half we look down on Teignmouth itself, over the Teign estuary to the Devon shore as far as Berry Head.

The Warren Golf Club presents a rare challenge golf as it used to be. It is the only true links course on the South coast of Devon, sited in a National Nature Reserve. With water on both sides of the course and often a tricky wind the course can be demanding. The greens are excellent, the course natural. The varied plant life brings colour to the round whatever the time of year, and you are never far from the wildlife. The course is part of many major migratory routes, and there are many rare species to be seen. If you are lucky, you may catch sight of a fox, or a hunting stoat, and you will often see birds of prey hovering above the heather and gorse which line some of the fairways.

In May 1985, just six days after the Bradford Stadium fire, a third of the old grandstand was destroyed during an early morning blaze. Nobody was hurt, but as a result, the grounds capacity fell to below 5,000. In the few years after the fire the ground saw little change. During the late 1980s and throughout the 1990s, Plainmoor has finally seen some major changes. The old Mini Stand made way for the all-seating Family Stand, which also houses offices, the boardroom and the club shop, as well as the pub and restaurant Boots and Laces, and the 200 Club bar.
