Hotel Description

For centuries, travellers have enjoyed the famous West Highland welcome at this family-run inn, at the entrance to the 'Great Glen'. In it's beautiful location next to the Corran Ferry in the lovely village of Ardgour, the Inn is ideal for exploring the West Highlands. The Isles of Skye and Mull are both within easy reach for a day trip and Ben Nevis, Glencoe, Glenfinnan and the Ardnamurchan Peninsula are all less than thirty minutes away. Loch Ness, Fort Augustus and Neptunes Staircase are all close by as are the towns of Oban and Fort William. Our loch-view restaurant, offers a wide range of cuisine, including traditional scottish fayre; and a selection of fine wines. All meals our prepared by our chefs and use locally grown produce when possible. There are eleven excellent en-suite bedrooms, ranging from Doubles and Twins, to Family rooms. Five rooms are situated on the ground floor with the remainder on the first floor. All rooms have colour TV, hair dryer and coffee/tea making facilities. But best of all are the stunning views of the mountains bordering Loch Linnhe that can be seen from every bedroom. We also have a comfortable residents lounge and a welcoming bar area. There is ample free parking on site. Please note that the quickest way to reach the Inn is via the Corran Ferry. The ferry runs twice and hour from 0620 hours until 2130 hours and takes just three minutes to carry up to 40 cars at a time across Loch Linnhe. The Inn can be reached by road without taking the ferry, going via Fort William and Locheilhead.

Es un lugar maravilloso. Y auténtico.

Si vienen de la Isla de Sky en coche, aconsejo que lleguen a él por la carretera del lago y luego crucen en el Ferry al otro lado. !ese camino es mágico!

Only Average
Nice situation, food not bad, and the hotel was clean, but my word the Hotel is is in dire need of renovation. It is dark and dismal and not welcoming at all. The reception is not manned, it\'s more like a store cupboard and no proper dining room to speak of.dinner is served in the bar. The facilities are non egsisting. The brochure depicts it as warm and welcoming with character, sadly it is not. It could be absolutely lovely with some money and thought spent on the place.

This hotel was completely perfect for our needs. The location is idyllic, the rooms excellently furbished, light and airy and a good size. The staff were so friendly and efficient, the food absolutely delicious. It also welcomes dogs and allows them in the bar which is a lovely place to eat both breakfast and evening meal. Overnight April2017
Lovely location and nice hotel. The views up the loch are outstanding but thats where it ends. The room was nice the toilet was clean but no bath. The kettle was half full of water on entry to the room thats just a no no the bed wasn\'t to comfortable was sore in the morning usually feel that when on a worn mattress. Have been a few times in the past and would say its never had a lick of paint for years and also has a bad smell in the corridor leading to up stair bedrooms. Evining dinner over priced (£13.95 for frozen scampi) the owner and family are lovely and very helpful but need to spend a few qiud to make this hotel as glorious as it could be..

Lovely Inn, Excellent Food, Beautiful Location
we were in the tripple room with a stunning view across the water. Room was clean and warm with the beds spaced out well. it is directly across from the ferry, but this doesn\'t runn too late so doesn\'t keep you awake. the owners/ hosts were very hospitable.

The area is beautiful.

The food was some of the best I have eaten, well cooked, and presented. Very inexpensive for what we got. And I am hard to please. Lets be honest here, we are a captive audience due to the remote location, yet the food was top notch, as if we had 100s of restaurants to choose from.

Something exciting about going over on the ferry, but you can drive round if you want (watch for the sheep on the road). I totally recommended this place ( providing you don\'t go when we want to stay again and it is booked out!)

Very friendly and cozy and just makes you feel at home. Lovely walks also outside the inn. Would visit again for a short break.

Fantastic Location For A Highland Adventure
Our second visit to the Inn since 2011. Friendly family run establishment. Rooms lovely size neat and comfortable. Menu good and food great. Dogs allowed in Bar. Staff always friendly. Breakfast very good. All in all a well priced overnight break and great base for exploring the surrounding highlands. Just make sure you plan ahead over the festive period as there is a 5 day a year holiday where ferry does not run. The drive is long from Fort William if you are taking the long way around where as the Ferry is about 5 minutes.

Warm Welcome And Great Food
I stayed for a night at the Inn at Ardgour as I was working nearby. The location is beautiful, I had a room facing the loch and it was a lovely view to open the curtains to in the morning. Hosts really welcoming and accommodating, food was freshly prepared with a good selection. Our room was the best - clean, warm and spacious. We were a couple but it could have accommodated our family of five. Lovely view over the loch and great entertainment watching the ferry trips.

Good Start To Our Holiday
On our way north to \'drive\' the NC500 and take a side trip to Orkney. Still winding down, my husband was more than happy to stop for a beer or two, then check in to a bedroom with one of the biggest en-suites I\'ve ever encountered. I have to say, the bar staff were brilliant - juggling drinks and food orders like experts. The same at breakfast. Felt our welcome on arrival was a little \'insipid\', but maybe that was only our perception after a long journey. Would we stay again? Yes!

Location, Location, Location
The title says it all. Fantastic setting although being in room 1 the choice was fresh air and the noise of the ferry or the room being too warm even with the heating off. Didn\'t spoil our stay, just a comment. There could be more info in the rooms re wifi password, times of breakfast etc. We had to keep asking reception. Again ok but could be better if guests didn\'t have to seek info and had it to hand. Meals fine, first day breakfast a little greasy,
