We stayed for 4 nights with our 32 year old son who came to accompany us on walks.

It was ideal for us. Good self catering facilities, warm and adequate tv/radio for evening entertainment.

Clean,very friendly and helpful staff.

Looking forward to a second visit.

The Dairy
Excellent. Really cute and unusual. Excellent facilities for cooking etc. very clean and well equipped. Ladder to bedroom was pretty steep and could be difficult for some but this is stated in advert.

Beautiful outside (even had baby deer in garden!). Would fully recommend, Excellent value for money!

Wonderful As Always
This was our first stay in the Gardeners Bothies, having stayed in various different parts of the estate over the years - it was lovely and cosy, secluded and warm - very important for a cold wet november ! Many thanks once again.

Another Excellent Week At Patterdale
Great location, great staff. Accomodation had everything we needed - but we were not in it much as we were out in the hills as much as we could! Been before and will be back.

Easy, Comfortable Family Fun
A great holiday for families. Lodge was basic yet comfortable, loved being able to bbq just outside, boys loved walking to the lakeside every teatime with fishing nets, local village is within walking distance with pubs and cafes and small shops ready to cater for all. Big bonus of having wifi, which helps with planning trips and booking tickets for excursions etc. and keeping in contact with parties you're meeting up with as phone signal can be intermittent.

Only downside for us was no dishwasher or washing machine in the lodge, but we coped fine.

We would definitely recommend this for families and will being coming back for our fourth visit soon!

Response from Hotel
Dear Mrs Saulnier

Thank you for your comments. I'm pleased you enjoyed your stay and that you will be returning to us soon.

Regarding the absence of either dishwasher or washing machine, we have considered installing dishwashers but decided that there would be too much loss of storage space in the kitchen. There is a launderette with washer and dryer for guests' use over on the Hall site but again, we feel reluctant to compromise space by installing washers in the properties. You could look at it as a good opportunity for the boys to "give Mum and Dad a break" on holiday by doing some chores!

Family Holiday
We have stayed 3 times with the kids since the youngest was 2 they are now 12 and 15. My partner used to come as a child every year usual if was in his late teens. Its a great place to take kids even grumpy teenagers. The views are spectacular the walls suit all ages and levels of fitness. The chalets are well equipped and comfortable but there are plenty of places to eat nearby. The staff are lovely couldn't be more friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend the chalets and estate as am unforgettable holiday. Just wish it wasn't such a long way from London.

The Chalets
Warm, comfortable accommodation with great staff, this is a superb base for walking, especially on the Dodds Ridge and High Street. It's also well placed for eating out and socialising.

Superb
If you are after a place to stay with stunning views and lots to do for all the family then this is all you need. We have stayed in the coach houses and cottages because both allow dogs. The coach house was a little cold in the February evenings but that is the only minor negative we have. We love Patterdale Hall for its lovely gardens and walks on the doorsteps. The first thing we did when we got home was book again for summer.

Lovely Quiet Stay At Patterdale
Ater many stays at Patterdale, I again the peae and quiet of the setting.

The chalet was cosy and warm and contained everything we needed.

the staff are friendly, helpful, but not intrusive.

We came at the beginning of February, and it was quiet - I have hought about going on a retreat, but this was ideal and the village and pub are nearby if you need some human contact!

Our family have been coming here for over ten yeas, and it it is still the same - and guess what?

In this mad, manic world thats just how I like it!

Kinds regards to all at Patterdale, Sue Ford
